Exerti’s Power platform based P4W is the result of +20years of experience in the domain of project and portfolio management tooling. Whereas Microsoft Project desktop, server and online have been the market standard for many years, new ways of collaborating, changes in the project managers’ profiles and skills as well as developments in technology resulted in the need for a new modern project management tool.
P4W is based on the latest technology; the Microsoft Power platform. Based on the standard “Project for the Web”, we built a solution that contains an answer to all the needs of modern project management, in a user-friendly, pleasant and easily accessible way. The functionalities in this solution, are based on the requests we received from our customers throughout the years.
Capture project requests information and let them pass through an approval flow. The information of the requests, is after approval transferred to the project information, avoiding unnecessary copying of data.
Information regarding the project is captured in an organized way, stored in the dataverse* and thus available for reporting. Different types of data can be entered:
- General information regarding the project, its sponsor, program, status, priorities, …
- Follow up on risks & issues, changes, …
- Allow project managers to follow up on KPI’s and statuses in an easy way
- Automated flows to guide project managers through the different stages and gates.
Each project can contain a schedule. Schedule templates can be used and can be automatically loaded, based on the project type.
View options are timeline, grid and Kanban.
Program level allows to follow up on projects as part of a program, keeping on one hand an overview and having the possibility to drill down in the details of each project.
Within each project, project managers can request resources, either as a generic role or a named resource right away.
Resource managers get an overview of the requests for their team and then either approve or reject.
Financial information can be captured either on a high level in the form of total amounts or a more detailed level.
Timesheets allow resources to enter the work done on tasks, with the possibility to get information from different sources (DevOps, Jira, …).
Since all information is stored in a database, it is available for reporting. PowerBI is the ultimate tool for this.
The Power–platform applications blend in seamlessly with other M365 products such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…
